In the winter of 2011, as people in Edmonton endured one of the coldest and snowiest winters in recent memory, Lisa Given, then a professor at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, accepted a new position at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia.  This is the story of how she and her husband Dan create a new life on the other side of the world.
